Daft Punk Translucence Tron 10" Vinyl Records Red Blue Yellow RSD2011.
Recently retired former music store owner here, just beginning to go through nearly 8,000 albums and CDs I've acquired over the years, around 5 percent of which have not been played. These Tron recordings, of which I'm the original owner, just surfaced, and I attempted to play one. I have a Bang & Olufsen Beogram 8002 turntable from the mid-1980's which has an optical tone arm guide, meaning that an optical arm looks for where to drop the stylus. Unfortunately, the optical arm doesn't register clear vinyl, which is the perimeter of all 3 records, so the stylus can't find where to drop, so it doesn't. In short, the Beogram won't play the records, and I can confirm that no stylus has touched the vinyl. I'm quite a fastidious seller as prior reviews will attest and I've examined all 3 records with a magnifiying glass, and see no abrasion or cracking on any edge as another seller is finding. Only one record was removed from its vinyl sleeve and was quickly replaced after discovering that my Beogram can't play it; this is why I'm listing the 3 records as "new" and not "used." All of my recordings have been maintained in a strictly termperature-controlled smoke-free low-lit room. I have to admit that artistically, these are among the most eye-catching records I've come across in over 50 years of collecting, and I'm sorry not to hear them before they move on.
