Description
Dane Hunter - The Drifter.
Original UK 7" 45rpm One Sided "Music Centre" Acetate from 1965.
This Acetate was originally the property of Bernie Burgess who was Ruby Murray's first husband, in 1965 he was managing the British singer Dane Hunter who's real name was Colin York. Prior to "The Drifter" being released in the UK by Ray Pollard is was offererd by the music publisher to Hunter to record for UK release, Hunter recorded a version of the song which was planned for release in late 1965 on CBS records but prior to release EMI decided to issue Pollard's version on United Artists and Hunter's version was shelved and to this day remains unreleased. This is the only known surviving copy !!!
Only in Fair Condition (has numerous surface marks but plays fine).
