Dao Bandon
Chan Di Khi Foi
Sound Of Siam / Hat label SLP 102
Listen
Ultra rare Luk Thung/ Molam LP out of Thailand. I bought the Thai records I am selling as a lot and the seller wasn't forthcoming with the artists names and LP titles but I was able to find details of this LP on the internet. Dao Bandon was one of the most famous exponents of the Luk Thung/Molam sound out of Thailand and is highly regarded in his country. These are the sort of tunes that turned up on DJ Chris Menist's "Sound of Siam"compilations. Deep horns hypnotic basslines exotic keyboard licks an array of percussion sounds and very unique and soulfull sounding vocals was the order of the day on all the three LPs I am selling. These LP's are so rare and hardly ever turn up in Thailand let alone any where else! Try googling or popsiking them and you won't find much info though like I said this one turned up on a blog so thanks to the uploader for the info. Please listen to the long soundfiles to taste the grooves!
