Description
Here is a beautiful, still sealed, copy of Pink Floyd's "Dark Side of the Moon" - the Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab (MFSL) pressing. The pictures don't do it justice. There are no creases, corner pushes, scrapes or scratches to the cover. The poly bag, like the others I've seen on the MFSL albums, is cloudy.
I am the original owner, purchasing it back in the early '80s or so. Even though I left it sealed, I further stored it in one of those protective clear sleeves with the resealable flap (which I'll include). The actual outer bag of the LP still has the original price sticker on the back - $18.95. You can see mild pressure creases in the poly bag - these are from careful storage: I kept this album filed on a shelf with other LPs, snug to prevent warpage, but not too tight. The LP jacket is pristine - as evidenced by moving the outer bag around, and viewing the cover through it. There are no creases, marks, or blemishes. Also, I've pictured the front and back "breath holes" in the poly bag. You can see the nice, dark, jacket through the holes. This album has been stored for around 30 years in a climate controlled room (an actual record library), vertically between other albums, and is in the same condition as the day I carried it out of the store.
The corners are sharp and crisp - no pushed corners. The spine looks to be perfect. It's difficult to get a picture where the light doesn't reflect off the bag, and where it looks as if there could be a blemish - rest assured, there is none. These poly bags, as most informed LP buyers here probably know, are cloudy. This jacket is in superb shape, and the LP inside is, of course, unplayed. A rare opportunity, as very few of these are left in sealed state.
