This is a lovely example of the COVER ONLY of the 1963 UK EP – Wait ‘Til My Bobby Gets home by Darlene Love – that was released on the London label – REU 1411 – and is in MINT condition. Please Note that it does NOT contain the record.I was at a collectors’ fair earlier in the year, looking for records, and I found a box on the floor that, oddly, contained about two inches of empty EP covers. All were from the Decca Group. There were about twenty different ones – with some duplicates of a few of them. (I sold all of the others in the Summer). Some of them were not laminated and some of them had seams that had not been glued. A few – like this one – were made up ready to contain a record. BUT none had ever had a record inside them so there is no ring-wear at all on either the front or back. They must have been samples, for whatever purpose and as such they were all pretty much perfect. Mainly they were very boring – easy listening or band music. But a few were of interest – like this one.
The cover is perfectly clean on both sides, with no discolouration on the back. As I say – there is no ring wear, which is very unusual to see. The corners are perfectly sharp / crisp. There are no finger-marks, and no creasing to the laminate. Although, as I say, I think that it must have been a sample or printing test or whatever that was never used – it has nothing unusual about it. No ink-stamps, no writing, no odd colours or anything like that.
