Description

This is Jazztime Records JT003, Dave Bailey Quintet Reaching Out, a blue label, deep groove, original mono issue, featuring Grant Green, Frank Haynes and Ben Tucker.  The record is in VG++ condition, with only a light mark on side 2 keeping it from being near mint. This spot at the beginning of side 2 track 2 is where a light click can be heard intermittently for approximately 1.5 minutes, during the bass stating the theme. Otherwise, the record plays quietly throughout. The original mono sound is truly luminous and transparent. The deep groove labels are excellent, with only light spindle marks. The original glossy cover is also near mint. This is a superb, collector's grade copy of a very rare original issue. I have entered a reserve. The record was cleaned on a VPI 17 and played on a Linn Sondek LP12. This is part of a large Jazz record collection I will be offering in the next few months.
