You are bidding on an original 1962 deep groove pressing of trumpeter Dave Burns's debut record on the Vanguard label

Incredible debut by the late, great trumpeter Dave Burns, veteran of the Dizzy Gillespie Orch, James Moody, Milt Jackson and others. Superb technique and sound, joined by Herbie Morgan on tenor sax, Steve Davis on bass, Kenny Barron on piano and Edgar Bateman on drums. Deep, full sound thanks to deep groove. Hard to part with this one.
Record sleeve front: Very Good ++ condition. Sturdy! Shiny all the way around. No major flows. As good condition as you're ever going to find this one. 1/8" rub wear bottom right corner. 1/4" rub wear left bottom corner. Curved 1.25" laminate crease in middle right near his arm. Two tiny 1/10" nicks on bottom seam. Light shelf wear on back side pasteover. Snapshot of Burns shows the shelf wear a bit. See pics.
Record: Near Mint. Perfect playing. Imprints perfect with the exception of 1-2 slight spindle lines on side 2 that can be seen upon reflection.
