Description



An original 1st UK press of 5x5 on Columbia. Matrix 1/1. 1G/1M - one of the first ever copies to hit the market. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original front laminated cover [textured]. We have the original inner too. So 100% complete and 100% genuine.
Vinyl (Ex+) In A-MAZING condition and has only seen lightest use. SUPER LUSTRE. Under close inspection I could only make out a couple of slightest marks per side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT+ level of playback..WITHOUT RESERVATION.   A really decent player and plays prefect clean throughout. Barely a crackle all the way through ....could not possibly be bettered. Basically a top level rendition which you'd have a hard time equalling. A copy like this can really deal with what, at times, is some pretty highly dynamic sounds. Lovely original player - don't think you'll ever better it.
Cover (Ex-) A very smart looking cover - many are going to be looking a bit beleaguered after 40 years use. But this one seems to have avoided much of the ageing process. Ok - it's not totally immune from it - but it is relatively minor....and given the aesthetic off the cover anyway...looks really superb. Very clean and flat with hardly a crease. Minimal edge wear and sharp firm openings. The spine is 100% intact. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
