I recently got these LPs from an enthusiast who had them for quite a while.
The Catch Us If You Can LP is in Mono and is in great condition, the flipback sleeve is clean and bright on both the back and the front. The blue /black Columbia label shows minimal wear - just a few spindle marks on side two and hardly any on side one. Vinyl is pristine with just a few light hairline marks such as you get when removing the record from it's inner sleeve which again is a marvellously clean "Emitex". All in all I would grade this record Excellent. Cat Number 33SX 1756.
The second LP is an American pressing of "Dave Clark Five's Greatest Hits" which cannot be described as excellent, the record has obviously been played numerous times and I would grade as Good/VG, EPIC LN 24185. The sleeve is not a typical American one, it has internal flip backs and so has not suffered the usual seam splitting that US LP sleeves are prone to, it does have some wear to the front but all this is irrelevant when you look at the rear sleeve and find a set of autographs! All the Five's names are there Dave Clark, Mike (Smith),Denis Payton, Rick (Huxley) and Lenny (Davidson), also Mike Hewitson (?) "Road Manager", Arthur Laws (?) and Michael L-H (?), all are dedicated to Pete. There is some white emulsion paint over the Mike Hewitson signature but it remains quite legible. Please check the photo. I have no story to offer with these signatures, perhaps someone can enlighten me.
