Description
David Bedford - Nurses Song With Elephants LP Dandelion
Very strange 1972 album on John Peel's Dandelion imprint and featuring his well regarded plastic pipe twirling skills. Kevin Ayers pops up too, singing vocals on the last track. The vinyl is EX-. It only gets the minus for a single hairline mark on side two - I thought it was a hair for a second. It's audible but only because the music drops to almost total silence in places. As soon as some music comes back it's gone. It's a minor, minor flaw.
The sleeve is VG+, it's unlaminated and considering its age it could be a lot worse. There's a sticker mark in the top righthand corner that could be blended away with black marker.
It's a great record, easily the most avant garde I've heard on Dandelion.
Like many of the records I'm selling today this came from the large collection of a busy man now aged 61. Due to the size of his collection many of the LPs were only played once or twice from new - some were never played and they were all properly looked after. His musical taste was towards the avant garde/free end of the jazz spectrum as well as being a fan of prog, psych and experimental music. I will be selling selected records from his collection over the next few years so please add me to your favourites list!
