Do you like your Bowie super smart>? As you will no doubt be aware the earliest copies of SANE can be found with a fully opening gatefold cover. But even whilst the album charted RCA moved to a non-gatefold cover [to save on costs no doubt!]. But these copies audibly are just as good as ones from very 1st pressing. This is one of those copies and would have been on the shelves ready for purchase toward the end of the initial chart run. The labels still exhibit 'Stereo' at 12 o'clock and the matrix is 3T/3T - all consistent with 1st issue. These 1st issues copies are early enough to be pressed on very nice solid vinyl - and believe me this makes all the difference! We also have the lyric insert and an original RCA inner sleeve. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete. 
Vinyl (Ex+) An absolutely superb looking copy and has clearly only seen light use. Under close inspection I can only make out a couple of very light marks per side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveal an EXCELLENT+ level of playback without reservation. This is perhaps the best rendition of SANE I have witnessed - it's absolutely top-level in every way. I can't fault it. Intros and inbetweens are perfectly quiet and the audio comes across with amazing clarity. If you were someone fussy looking for the best possible rendition from an audio perspective - this copy should be very much in your cross hairs. There's really nothing detrimental at all - the whole way through. Even 'TIME' plays clean....and this is no easy find, along with 'LGS'. As close to 'perfect' as is humanly possible. It's certainly a rare event when I can offer up such a promise. FINAL UPGRADE par excellence.
Cover (Ex/Ex+) Wow, if the vinyl wasn't good enough to get your attention - take a look a this cover! It really is very very unusual to find these original white covers looking anywhere close to this level of preservation. They usually age with foxing in places. This cover is totally white and almost perfectly clean front and back. Just take a lot at that angled shot across the cover - look at that sheen [that's real!] The only sign of wear is down at the foot of the front - below the text 'Aladdin Sane'. That's all I can spot really  - very very impressive. There's almost no sign of edge wear at all. Even onto the spine - it's 100% intact and fully square. The openings are still sharp and the cover retains excellent rigidity. Pretty much final upgrade I'd argue.

Inner (Vg+) Light ageing. No splits.
