I obtained this album in the late 1970s from a local record dealership. The owner of the shop let me know about it as he knew I was a collector. Even though I already had a copy I bought this immediately as it was in truly excellent condition. I bought it as a "back-up" for my original copy of the album. I have never actually played this copy myself although the previous owner may have played the album. I placed it in a high quality click-seal plastic sleeve and stored it upright when I brought it home.
This is an exceptional copy of an original release of David Live. This will be a great addition to any collection. Above all else it is the Australian release of this album. It is now the time for someone to play and enjoy this excellent album.
Condition of sleeve: Excellent+
The laminated sleeve is in excellent condition. The sleeve is shiny and has not lost any of its gloss. There is no cracking of the laminate on the outside or inside of the gatefold sleeve. There are no wrinkles, folds, tears or seam splits. The title spine is beautiful and all of the details are clear and perfectly legible. The openings of each sleeve are crisp. There is slight shaping of the sleeve due to the records. There is a slight tiny ghost of sticker residue in the lower left corner and I believe this could be easily removed from the strong laminate. It is barely noticeable. The inside of the gatefold shows evidence of ring wear and some ageing. There is a retailer's stamp within the pocket of each gatefold. You have to actually open the pocket to see each stamp.
Condition of the inner sleeves or "bags". Excellent/Mint-
The two inner sleeves are in crisp condition. There are no folds or seam splits.
Condition of the vinyl: Excellent to Mint-.
Visual inspection. The vinyl is clean and glossy on both discs. The labels are clean. There are no spindle marks. As with most other issues of this album LP1 contains side one and side four and, naturally, LP2 contains side one and side three (for the benefit of auto change record players at that time).
