Description
This is the Debut album by David Bowie. I was very lucky to buy the first 3 David Bowie LP's from the original owner, all on the same day back in 1974 ! He had only played them a few times before moving house and all his records went in to storage. He owned my local Record shop where I bought all my records in the 1970's.
I have only played it twice ! Once when I bought it and now to test it for sale. The cover is excellent. There is a tiny amount of ring wear, and imperfections in the card (pictures 3 and 4) which you can only just see when the cover is held at the right angle.
The spine, corners and edges are all excellent. There are a few very small brown marks on the rear of the cover (see pictures). The lamination has started to lift at the top left corner but is not split (see picture 5). The labels are both perfect with no writing and a few very light spindle marks.
The vinyl on both sides looks near mint with no scratches etc. There is a small pressing flaw right at the end of side 1 which sounds as a light tick for about 6 or 7 revolutions, (approx' 15 seconds) with a pop right at the very end of the track and one in the run-off. I have played the whole LP and it sounds fantastic with no other noises at all. You can only hear a tiny amount of background noise in between tracks, and it is very obvious that this LP has not been played many times. It is also perfectly flat with no warping.
As you know, this is a very rare LP and it will be shipped in a proper LP mailer with stiffeners, and a separate inner sleeve. The maximum insurance with Royal Mail for international shipping is only £250, so if the buyer is outside the UK they would have to accept that risk or arrange their own insurance.
