Description
This re-issue, a quality pressing done in France, is difficult to find ,especially Sealed. The American pressings from the first year of 1967 aren't as desirable in my opinion because the censors, for reasons best known to themselves, omitted two tracks, #6 from Side One, "We Are Hungry Men", and #6 from Side Two, "Maids of Bond Street". Odd that each side from most (all?)other pressings have all 14 songs, not just 12 as it was in the States, and that each LP had therefore either 12 or 14 songs depending upon country of manufacture, and further that #6 was the number "chosen" to be deleted in the US. Just seems odd to me, at the least...
Deram actually cancelled Bowie's contract in 1967, as the sales weren't good. So much for capitalist vision. This copy very clean, straight, with very minor bumping to corners. Fully sealed in original cheap plastic wrap in my opinion, this conclusion based on the condition and quality of it, and the single 1/4 inch air-hole on front cover.
I rate it as (NM or M-) in the interests of conservatism and fairness. It is bright, non-sun-faded, unstained, unwrinkled, and quite crisp, in my opinion. Not even the white bits have yellowed. And 36 years young.
A rare quality French pressing that isn't seen often.
Will be well-packed and insured to cover selling price.
No returns unless not as described, per E-bay policy, and I've described quite accurately.
No international shipping.
ABSOLUTELY no discussion of returning if seal is broken anywhere. It is now sealed completely, and I have close-up photos to clearly document. Don't like pointing this out, as disclaimers have unpleasant inferences, yet this is the world we E-bay in.
