Embark on a journey with the 'David Bowie - Five Years (1969 - 1973)' box set, a comprehensive Full collection that encapsulates the ingenuity of one of rock's most enigmatic artists. Spanning the years that saw Bowie's star rise and his musical landscape shift, this set is a must-have for aficionados and new listeners alike.
In September 2015, Parlophone Records will release Five Years, a 12CD or 13LP box set that features “all of the material officially released” by David Bowie between 1969 and 1973, Please note: It should be noted that although this box is said to include all of the material “officially released” by David Bowie between ’69 and 1973 it doesn’t include all the material that wasn’t released at the time but subsequently ended up on reissues . Bowie’s six studio albums of this period – David Bowie / Space Oddity, The Man Who Sold The World, Hunky Dory, The Rise And Fall Of Ziggy Stardust And The Spiders From Mars, Aladdin Sane, and PinUps are included.
**There will be no bonus tracks appended to the albums, instead Five Years comes with Re:Call 1 an exclusive two disc compilation of non-album singles, single versions and B-sides.** Five Years also includes the two live albums officially released: Live Santa Monica ‘72 and Ziggy Stardust: The Motion Picture Soundtrack.
The label Parlophone confirmed that as far as the vinyl is concerned “everything is remastered from analogue except for a couple of tracks on Re:Call where we had no analogue source available.”
This Box Set includes a luxurious array of vinyl records, each one a piece of the mosaic that is Bowie's enduring legacy.Crafted with the highest quality materials, the box set is in a heavy cardboard box, ensuring your records are kept pristine and secure.
Each record within is graded as Near Mint, "due to the shrinkwrap being broken, but can confirm NONE of the vinyls have been out of the box as the shrinkwrap split on removing from packaging". This promising an auditory experience that is as close to perfection as one can get. With the inclusion of a 84 page hardback book which feature rare photos and technical notes about each album from producers Tony Visconti and Ken Scott, this deluxe edition, first edition, collector's edition, and limited edition set is a substantial addition to any music lover's collection.
