Description
Hunk Dory - a 2nd issue from 1972 on the UK RCA label. Matrix 3E/4E. Heavy set vinyl with shiny labels and 'Stereo' mentioned at the top. Please note all early copies of Hunky Dory do not mention 'MainMan' - this would have come into use in the latter part of 1972. The record exhibits the Titanic publishing credits of those early copies. The record comes housed in an original cover printed by Robert Stace. Also included is the original lyric sheet with the Titanic credit.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex-) In really remarkable condition and looks shiny like new. Even under close inspection I can barely see a single mark. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT level of playback. The audio comes across with excellent clarity and only some occasional low-level interference. There is a little light static just audible in a couple of tracks on side 1 eg. ELP, but this is still pretty minor. Overall this copy exudes class and the audio quality is absolutely top-level. One of the great albums and a fantastic rendition to boot.
Cover (Ex) Again, has clearly been looked after. There's only the very lightest touch of wear evident on the front. But in all other respects it really is a well preserved copy. There's barely a crease on it and the spine is 100% intact. Overall the cover maintains excellent rigidity. Difficult to better I'd imagine.
