Description
I picked up this album a few years ago. I was not looking for albums at the time. The sleeve looked rather sad and forlorn but when I saw it hid a translucent orange vinyl LP and that the disc was in very good condition I bought the album. I thought I might frame the vinyl and display it at home. I stored the album in a sealed plastic sleeve and I have never actually played the vinyl.
A collector with other coloured vinyl editions of this same album may simply like to add this orange vinyl edition of the pressing to their own copy of this album.
Release details: This album was released in 1974 and is the second pressing of this edition of the 1972 Santa Monica recording. The orange vinyl pressing is reasonably rare.
Condition of the vinyl: Very good. On visual inspection the vinyl looks to be in very good condition. There does not seem to be any major flaws. There are finger smudges on the labels and little or no evidence of spindle marks. There is evidence of black vinyl within the orange vinyl pressing. See the photograph. I am not able to play the album at the moment.
Condition of sleeve: Poor really. Age spots everywhere on the plain cardboard sleeve and the paper insert has been ruined with a thick black marker by a thoughtless individual. The sleeve was like this when I bought it. It was purely the vinyl that made me buy the album. Look at the photographs.

This item would suit a collector interested in the particular color vinyl of this release. Frame the vinyl, add it to another copy of the same album. The album certainly looks old (which is a selling point) and despite the condition of the sleeve it has a certain dignity. This orange vinyl album could be yours. I rescued this album from oblivion. You can now give it a new home.
