Description
Here the ultimate David Bowie collector fix – Never seen beore!
This is one of four out of six original 8” metallic stampers/matrices I am lucky to have available:
- Brother
- Fame
- Fashion
- Time
These were used in 1987 by the Italian producer to press the “Demanding Billy Dolls” three 7” box set to complete tracks missing on the “Waiting In The Wind” 12” release, Live in Rome 1987.
It is a mirror of the record and can be played (better use an old stylus), but from the inner to the outer groove and what you hear is … a negative of the sound. You need to revert sense and sound of the transfer to get it right (see attachment for Time, please note I played it 45 RPM while it is 33 RPM). The sound of the mirrored files is awful because I recorded quick and dirty with my iPhone).
