1981 release with Labels, runout code and spine different from other release with same cat no.
Low is Bowie’s 11th album, released in January 1977. It became the first of three collaborations with producers Brian Eno and Tony Visconti, later termed the "Berlin Trilogy". The album however was recorded largely in France at the Château d'Hérouville and marked a shift in Bowie's musical style toward an electronic and ambient approach that would be further explored on subsequent albums "Heroes" (1977) and Lodger (1979).
Sleeve: Laminated single sleeve with light aged related signs of handling. Top, side and bottom edges all straight, true and square, light corner rub. Fully clear and readable spine - minimal compression, no splits or rips, small sticker on rear from my original place of purchase in the 1980s - small crease marks and light age related handling only, see photos for clear clarification, graded solid VG+
Labels: RCA International green labels, very light play (see photos) graded EX
Vinyl: Both sides retain full black sheen. Visually looks EX, under light there are feint wispy lines primarily from sleeve removal, nothing that affects play graded EX- towards EX
Audio: Plays through clean - no hisses, skips, sticks, pips, pops, crackle or static graded minimum EX-
I have tried to be honest and transparent in my description - the photographs form part of the description. Questions are welcome, don't hesitate to ask. I have been a collector for 47+ years the few records I sell are either the results of upgrades or duplicates or a bit of thinning every now and again as this is. If anything is not as expected, please contact me straight away, and I will do everything to resolve any problems without argument.
I strictly adhere to the Record Collector Magazine's Grading Guide using one + or - as an additional guide:
MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition.
EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and / or creasing.
VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.
