Description
1969 Mercury Records red label stereo pressing SR-61246.
I tried to photograph the visible "flaws" on the record itself, but they're few & far between; faint even to the naked eye unless the light hits just right. The last photo shows what I believe to be an arced manufacturing mark, extending across the full program of side 1. It doesn't affect playback, inaudible even with a microline Shure stylus at 1.4g tracking force...which is highly sensitive to surface noise. Under a magnifier it appears purely superficial. There are a few audible 'ticks' to speak of. I counted one in the last 2 seconds of Space Oddity...and 4 or 5 in Letters To Hermione affecting a single rotation here & there in the song. The loudest one is in the silence between Letters To Hermione & Cygnet Committee. Side 2 has a few audible ticks as well...but photographing them didn't produce any visible results. See photos for details, I try to grade records as conservatively as possible...to target pleasant surprise instead of disappointment.
Original sleeve has a single 1.5" split at the bottom seam. Cover wear is visible in photos. Spine blemishes, back scuffing & some light corner creasing aside it's in good condition & retains majority of its glossy feel & structural integrity. Outline of a price sticker can be seen near the Mercury stamp on the cover.
Record will ship in a reinforced cardboard vinyl media mailer, in a protective sleeve. Please ask any questions before buying.
