David Bowie Portrait Of A Star Box Set LPs. (PL 37700)

Please see photos for Inserts and Box condition.

There is damage to the left hand side of the box which has been 'repaired' with a strip of sellotape. I taped the whole length just to prevent any further damage. The spine/edge in photo 12 is the worst part. There is a split to the flap on the opposite edge which I have also taped down. The box does have some creasing too.

Just to note that the photos of the box are overexposed, the box is darker than the photos but there is some fading to the edges as the photos shown in any event. 

VISUAL INSPECTION: As to the Vinyls, all three look as if they have been played very little if at all:

LODGER FACE 1A: Absolutely only a couple of very light hairlines seen when viewed under bright light.

LODGER FACE 2B: As for Lodger Face 1A above.

HEROES FACE 3C: A very few very light short hairlines and one small spidery hairline.

HEROES FACE 4D: A very few very light short hairlines.

LOW FACE 5E: Nothing that I can see to report.

LOW FACE 6F: As for Low Face 5E above.

In General: On listening to the vinyls it is clear that they haven't been played very much at all. There is the very rare low level pop and really very little background noise to the tracks if any. 

Exceptions: 

It should be noted that the quieter tracks on 'Heroes' do have some background noise and pops. 

On 'Low' the track 'Warszawa' does have quite a lot of background noise with pops which does get a bit less as the track plays on. The next track 'Arcade' has some background noise/pops but less than 'Warszawa'. The third and fourth tracks (on the same side) 'Weeping Wall' and 'Subterraneans' play fine. I have given this side of the vinyl a clean, paying particular attention to the first two tracks and it has made a bit of an improvement to 'Warszawa' but it still has quite a bit of back ground noise which does dissipate as the track progresses. The clean has made a definite improvement to 'Arcade'.
