Description
For your consideration: a RARE DAVID BOWIE collectors' item.
Made in France and released on RCA # PL 37700
1982 French DAVID BOWIE 3-album Box Set titled "PORTRAIT OF A STAR" that contains the complete Vinyl LPs in his "Berlin Trilogy" 1977-1979: "LODGER", ""HEROES"" & "LOW". All pictures are of the actual item.
Condition: LPs are vg++ to near mint with one exception - side 4 which I will grade as vg+. It has an odd scuff/superficial hairline that you can see, but upon playing, I couldn't hear. The label on side 2 was labeled twice, so the second label is raised (see pic).
The 2 piece box is vg+. All the corners are intact and there's a bit of foxing inside and out. The only real issue is that there is a split of about 3.5" on one side of the lid, you can see this in the last picture.
Grading Standards
Near Mint (nm) Almost New. Might have a slight paper scuff. Plays with no noise that is due to visible imperfections. Highest grade I use.
Very Good++ (Vg++) Very Clean Records, Well taken care of. Just a light scuff or hairline. Plays extremely well.
Very Good+ (Vg+) Well taken care of. A few scuffs, possibly a few light scratches and marks. Minimum of distracting noise.
Very Good (Vg) Not especially well taken care of, but not abused either. Light scratches, scuffs and marks. Plays with some background noise but is still enjoyable and collectible. Some gloss. I normally do not sell records in this condition
