David Bowie 'The Rise And Fall Of Ziggy Stardust'.

Original UK RCA stereo press LP, with the Titanic Music/Gem Production sleeve credits and 1E/1E matrices of the very first press. In the album's story, the Earth is saved by the rock n' roll messiah Ziggy Stardust, with only five years to survive. He wins the hearts of teens, scares parents, seduces everyone in his path, and eventually dies a victim of his own fame. According to Bowie, he "takes himself up to the incredible spiritual heights and is kept alive by his disciples". During the song "Rock 'n' Roll Suicide", the infinites (extra-terrestrials) arrive, and tear Ziggy Stardust to pieces on stage.
  The Robert Stace matt sleeve is intact & in EX condition, with some light edge/ring wear and a couple of small creases on the rear cover. The spine is intact and fully readable, the lyric inner is intact & in VG+ condition.   The record is in visually EX condition, with a couple of faint sleeve removal hairlines and one or two light needle marks visible under bright light on each side. The labels are in EX condition, clean & bright with one or two faint spindle markings!   The sound reproduction is EX, still clear & precise throughout with no loud pops or crackle & definately no skips, sticks or jumps, but there is some brief background noise during the run in grooves, overall a really great, loud listen!   The matrix nos. are; BGBS-0864-1E, stamper A-1M, BGBS-0865-1E stamper A-1P. This is one of the very early copies of the 1st pressing of the original 1972 UK stereo issue of this album!       All records are checked on an Acoustic Research deck before being listed and any flaws noted in the listing, so if you have any problems with the record please contact me for a full refund of original price & postage on return of the record (no partial refunds), no quibbles, no problems!!    All grades are those used in the Record Collector Guide.
