Description
Incredibly scarce David Bowie demo 7", his first release for Deram. Release date is 2nd December 1966, so almost exactly 43 years old, released when David was just 19. In the same month in the US Verve released 'Sunday Morning' by the Velvet Underground, quite a contrast there. Hard to imagine Rubber Band being a 'hit' back in '66, but London Boys is definately ahead of it's time, and of course, wasn't included on the 'David Bowie' debut LP, so hardly anyone would have heard this track until the 'Ziggy' breakthrough and the 'Images' album.
