Hello there and welcome to my auction. Please read my descriptions carefully before you bid. Please make sure you read everything especially the condition of each vinyl. The grading and criteria are below.

This is an auction for:  David Bowie – David Bowie S/T - RARE Original Vinyl LP album 1969.

Genuine Original UK pressing of the Self Titled 1969 David Bowie album later known as Space Oddity.

• Matrix / Runout (Run-out side B, stamped): 852146 2Y-2 11

PLEASE NOTE: There is are a couple of jumps on side 2 track 3 and one slight jump on side 2 track 5 due to a couple of small feelable scratches. No sticks though.

I am not looking for offers on this record I’m afraid and there is no buy it now price.

Vinyl Condition: Fair/Good (Side 1 of the record has some light surface marks and light scratches but plays really well. There is a very small scratch on “Space oddity” which causes a few clicks but nothing major. Side 1 plays really well with nice sound. Side 2 also have surface marks and light scratches however tracks 3 and 5 on side 2 each have a small feelable scratch which causes a couple noticeable jumps on track 3 and a slight jump on track 5. There are some loud clicks in that area too but soon clear up. This is a shame as generally it is a very nice playing record. There are no sticks though and is still enjoyable. There are a few clicks towards the start of the first track on side 2 but clears up. Centre labels are good with no writing. There is some spindle spidering but overall good for its age).

Inner Sleeve Condition: G (Generic plain inner sleeve is NOT the original. It has been replaced at some point).  

Outer Sleeve Condition: G/VG (Gatefold sleeve is in very nice condition especially for its age. There is some edge and corner wear and a few very slight corner bumps. The corners are showing some wear and rubbing. There is some wear to the spine. Text is just about readable still which is nice. There is some rubbing to the front and back and inside the gatefold but really is in very nice shape. There are a few dirt marks and light stains here and there but nothing that is major. Overall the sleeve is very nice for its age. No splits.

I grade my records as follows:

M = Mint: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Unplayed and sealed records are referred to as Mint.

Ex = Excellent: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is no lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have minimal wear and/or creasing.

VG = Very Good: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch.
Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects.

G = Good: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.

Fair = The record shows signs of extensive play and may have many marks and deep scratches but will still play ok but with significantly lower sound quality. Artwork will be rather worn with possible splits, small rips, scrapes, dents, or maybe water damage.
