Description
An original 2nd Issue of Space Oddity [Original release 1969 on Philips] on the UK RCA label. Matrix 2E/2E. 2nd issue on RCA occurred a year after 1st release on RCA - during 1973. Please note the labels mention 'Stereo' toward the top and this was discontinued toward the end of '73. The vinyl comes housed in an original Robert Stace cover without 'Mainmain' logo [which was added later in '73]. Please note there is NO original inner sleeve.
Vinyl (Ex+) In beautiful condition and has clearly only seen very light use. Under close inspection we could only make out a couple of light marks either side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are silent and the audio some across with perfect clarity. Even those very low-key acoustic tracks play absolutely CLEAN! Difficult to imagine going any better for audio than on this copy..it is nigh on faultless. Just lush clean audio with barely a hint of interference. The only thing I could detect was one pop at the start of track 2 on side 2. Other than that we are talking about a top-level preservation.
Cover (Vg) In decent condition, but is showing its age in places now. Front and back are relatively clean, but do expect a few creases. There's a reasonable amount of edge wear and it is starting to wear through in one small spot. Don't expect to make out much of the text on the spine. The cover has lost a fair bit of its original rigidity too.
