POSTAGE:
We try to always ship in a record mailing box “tracked delivery to be signed for”. Some countries do not have the ability to track parcels (Like Russia) and so we do the best we can and send tracked out of the UK and then to be signed for by the purchaser.
A single record when packed by us in it’s protective record mailing cardboard box weighs between 450 and 530 grams
United Kingdom - £4.00 for first item and £1.00 for each subsequent item
European Union - £10.00 for first item and £2.00 for each subsequent item
Rest of The World – £12.00 for first item, £5.00 for second item, and £2.50 for each subsequent item.
As standard items for the UK are sent via Royal Mail 2nd Class post, always with proof of posting (without exception) and to be signed for. If you want your item quicker then you can select 1st Class post for a small extra charge, please contact us for charges. High value items and collectibles we would recommend Recorded Delivery for the UK and International Tracked &Signed For elsewhere. (See our note above) For really expensive items we would recommend using an international courier service like UPS.
Royal Mail Information: Royal Mail attempt to deliver Ist Class mail within 1-2 working days. 2nd Class mail within 3-5 working days. RM do not consider an item lost until 15 working days have passed from date of postage which can mean in reality about 3 weeks! With any lost item, only after this time is anyone able to instigate a claim. Most shipments from us are larger than the standard domestic letterbox and the customers will need to be at home in order to receive them. Otherwise RM should leave a red slip to enable collection at the local Royal Mail collecting centre
Please contact us if you have any questions.
Grading: Record Collector Magazine's Grading Guide:
"MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.
EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and / or creasing.
VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.
FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and / or defaced.
POOR: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
BAD: The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection filler."
