Description

A 1st pressing of 'Space Oddity' on the UK RCA label from 1972. Matrix 1E/1E. Please note this LP was recorded in 1969 and originally released on the Philips label. This is the 1st pressing on RCA when they signed Bowie and reissued his earlier records. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original cover. Also included is the original lyric sheet inner sleeve  and also included is the original poster. So, 100% original and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex+) In absolutely terrific condition and has clearly only seen light use. Under close inspection there are a couple of ultra light marks - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are nice and quiet and the audio comes across with great clarity. This is one of Bowie's more pared down albums and really needs a well preserved copy to do it justice. Many copies are just going to have been played too much and deterioration will become quite apparent. Not here! Whoever owned this LP looked after it very carefully and all that marvellous clarity from an early cut comes pouring through. I doubt you will be able to better this copy...
Cover (Ex) Often found in pretty tatty condition this one has clearly had a fastidious owner an remains in great condition. Only the lightest handling wear is apparent. Colours are still lovely and bold and there's minimal edge wear. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity and text on the spine is still all visible.
Inner (Ex) Very light ageing and no marks or seam splits.
Poster (Ex+) In perfect condition - like new. It most certainly has never seen a wall.
