David Bowie Starman / Suffragette City Rare Orig ANGOLA 45
Attention: The cover is VG+ (Quite nice for an Angolan release) with ringwear in the back and a signature.
The front which is a unique cover sleeve (unique to Angola) looks very nice BUT the problem here is the vinyl
which is badly warped. Looks like it caught some heat and it warps on the edge of one side (A few centimeters in
length). You can see a detailed picture (the third picture)
It's unplayable on my system, could be playable if you apply a lot of weight on the arm of the needle but i didn't try
this. The reason to buy this record is if you want to upgrade the cover or if you want to try to unwarp the vinyl
(I think it may be possible to do so: there are machines capable of doing this, and some traditional methods
(between two thick pieces of glass and in the oven or under the sun, or simply applying weight over time)
I didn't try any of these techniques as i didn't want to risk damaging the record futher, so if you're up for an
adventure, here's a good project!
I'm listing this one at $3 starting price and will sell for the best bid. I just ask the buyer to let me know the result if
he or she manages to repair this record, then i'll be happy. Good luck with the bidding.
