Description
Extremely rare Bowie Item from my collection.
First pressing (Curly Hair) versions of this Album are the more sought after but due to a mishap at the factory in 1970, despite both the label and cover this plays Bloch, (another Decca release).
Picture shows photocopy of Bloch release with track listing. This recording of Schelomo/Voice in the Wilderness is also well regarded and holds its value in classical music.
Sleeve in Excellent condition for a 46 year old rarity. Complete with Decca Inner Sleeve.
Vinyl would be excellent too but for the visible scratch (can be seen in photo) at the start of side one which does not result in jumps but is the cause of an audible click at the start of the Album.
I put this down to a teenager banging the turntable in shock upon hearing what David Bowie's "Uncle Arthur" sounded like! but sadly can not verify story.
Have not found another during years of collecting but my guess is a few must have slipped out of the factory, but how many were not sent back through the record shop?
