Description
David Crosby "If I Could Only Remember My Name"
This is an original US vinyl pressing on Atlantic SD 7203 from 1970. This was his first solo album. This is a Stereo White Label Promo copy. The front cover has a sticker at top right with his name and the name of the album. There is also a 'suggested cuts for airplay' sticker and a promo 'not for sale' sticker. The gatefold cover is very textured.
He released this right after the Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young album "Deja Vu". That album went to # 1 and kind of over-shadowed this album. Many people didn't know about this album because it didn't have his name on the front cover. So, if you haven't heard this album, you will think it's a great lost CSN&Y album. It's that good !!!!
He is backed up by an amazing group of famous friends including : Graham Nash, Neil Young, Grateful Dead members : Jerry Garcia, Phil Lesh, Bill Kreutzmann, and Mickey Hart, and Jefferson Airplane members : Grace Slick, Paul Kantner, Jack Casady, Jorma Kaukonen, and David Frieberg.
The songs are : Music Is Love, Cowboy Movie, Tamalphais High, Laughing, What Are There Names, Traction In The Rain, Song With No Words, Orleans, and I'd Swear There Was Somebody Here.
I am auctioning all of my David Crosby and Graham Nash solo albums on Ebay now.
