Description

From Germany, this is ECM 1027 ST, David Holland Conference Of The Birds, a white label, "musterpressung" (master pressing) original stereo test pressing of this remarkable record featuring Anthony Braxton, Sam Rivers, and Barry Altschul. The sound of the disc is positively glorious and transparent. An audiophile's delight. The writing on the record sleeve (picture 3) leads me to believe that this was pressed for the Japanese market.  The record is in near mint condition showing almost no signs of use. The labels are perfect. The cover has a small amount of foxing but is otherwise excellent and intact. This is a superb, remarkable, and unique copy of what must be considered a seminal free-bop session. There is no reserve. The record was cleaned on a VPI 17 and played on a Linn Sondek LP12. This is part of a large Jazz record collection I will be offering in the next few months. Please check our other listings as we discount shipping on multiple orders.
