Description


Dave Holland recorded several Librarys for the Chappell label under pseudonym/group name ‘Mad Dog’, among them ‘Zouche Drums’ (LPC-1038) and ‘Music For Guitars’ (LPC-1073).

Here is fuzz-infused Funk Rock driven by powerful rhythms and clear rock drumming. heavily distorted e-guitar assaults make tracks like ‘Girlpower’, ‘Bird Of Paradise’, ‘Killer’ or ‘The Red Elephant’ truly a disturbing listening experience. throughout the entire LP a superfuzzy lead guitar accompanied by evil lashes on the wah-wah pedal, which adds a dramatic Library feel to many of the instrumental tracks. ‘Pop Sounds’ easily stands comparison with Conroy’s ‘London’s Underground’ Library and is much in demand among Progressive/Psychedelic collectors !!!
