Description
Unplayed, still in the original cellophane wrapper. Dedicated and signed by David Peel in black marker pen. PLEASE NOTE THIS DEDICATION AND SIGNATURE IS ON THE CELLOPHANE WRAPPER AND NOT THE ALBUM ITSELF.
This Folkways album was released in the U.S. in 1977, but after legal action it was was withdrawn from release.
the cellophane wrapping is mainly complete though it is wrinkled mainly on the front as can be seen on the photos. There is fraying to the bottom edge where the cellophane has torn and a small section of the thin black paper covering the card has peeled. The right hand edge where the album is normally removed the cellophane has perished along most of this edge , which is also a bit frayed in places. There is also a small hole in the cellophane just above David’s signature. I have noticed that fraying of the edges of this particular album does seem to happen.
The album contains the David Peel song “ A.J. Weberman “. The dedication and signature were obtained in person by a former owner who was visited by David in 1997. Enclosed also is a copy of a message from Mel and a couple of copy photos giving a history of this item.
The other album Robert Zimmerman v.s. A.J. Weberman The Historic Confrontation GRUDGE MATCH. It is in good condition , with just a couple of minor edge knocks. I have not played it but it looks o.k. no scratches or anything I can see. There is also a booklet enclosed with the album , it does not seem to have any relevance to the album , but I believe it originally came with the album.
