Now here is an oddity and a weird beard.

 if this is genuine its priceless ,if its not its interesting and still worth a bit!

10" metal disc with what looks like vinal surface, then normal 7" record cut into this, playes 45 rpm. one sided.

has second hole about an inch from centre....is this original studio disc that pressings were made from?

scratched into edge of disc is " dean ridge studio xlv (series parnes hopefulls) ruc/lul david sutch your my only girl (sutch) licenced emi recording bfou dcm".

centre of disc printed in green ink directly on disc no label is "emi disc made in great britain distributing organisation emi sales and service ltd"

written in what looks like "david sutch  your my only girl"

on paper sleeve which is in poor state it says "your my only girl (un cut 45rpm demo) david sutch later alias screaming lord sutch 1959 may 12. no other info not released."

David (Screaming Lord Sutch) was doing strange things with coffins in the early 60s and was the pre daddy of punk, goth horror rock:- recording such gems as Jack the Ripper (see my other listings)

and being founder and leader of the monster raving looney party (who by the way he surgested pop radio vates for 18 year olds proportional representation in the 1960s)

 

can not authentersise, i bought this from a widow in 2000 who said her late husband was a roadie in the 50s n 60s with all the big stars.. so who knows.

now, i worked with his screaming lordship in the 70s and talking to him once he told me he recorded a couple of straight tracs for demos that were rejected before going home and growing his hair and developing some strange practices on stage, now if this is one such demo..... dunno, anyway....playing it, it sounds very buddy holly/ bobby vee. reminds me of "well alright", so nice track who ever it is.

this must be so rare.   like uneeeeekeeeee me thinks!
