Albeniz/ De Burgos: Suite Espanola

(Decca SXL 6355 UK LP 1968)


This is a UK original Stereo LP pressing. It has a front laminated sleeve which has a small "Mono/ Stereo" die-cut circle on the rear sleeve. It comes with its original generic "blue border" polythene lined company inner sleeve. The record is pressed on thick vinyl & has 1st press "wide band" ED3 Decca labels. The record has 1st press -1G/ -1G matrix stampers. A rare & collectible late 1960's UK Classical LP. Sadly this is a well played copy. However, it is still a serviceable copy of this rare LP.


Sleeve: There is some mild, more moderate to considerable rubbing wear on the sleeve opening edges. There is some light, mild or very mild foxing/ staining on the rear sleeve on some areas. There is an area of mild laminate creases on the front. There are two small pen dashes/ marks on the rear sleeve. This is next to two track titles. There is some light, mild or very mild ringwear. Very Good condition

Vinyl: There are some mild, very mild or more moderate sleeve rubs which can be seen under a strong light. The inner sleeve, over time, has left some light, mild or very mild dull surface marks on the dead wax areas on both sides. There are two very light 4 cm hairline marks. Overall, Good++ condition. The labels are in Very Good+ condition & show mild to more moderate spindle wear. The company inner sleeve is in Very Good condition. There is some light, mild or more moderate ringwear, fading & creasing. There are no seam splits.

I have fully play tested this LP. It plays Good+ to Very Good overall & Very Good+ in some places. There is some light, mild or very mild crackle in the background to a varying degree. There are a few areas of more moderate crackle. These are mainly on Side 2. The crackle never completely overpowers the music. There are no nasty clicks or pops.
