Offered here is a beautiful, stone cold first USA pressing of Dead Boys CLASSIC debut punk rock masterpiece, "Young, Loud And Snotty", Sire Records SR 6038. Given that STERLING is stamped in the deadwax, it is no surprise that this album sounds absolutely FANTASTIC. I have played it using my modified Lenco L75 turntable with audiophile uni-pivot tonearm and Shure M44G cartridge through my tube amplifier and a pair of Spendor BBC monitors and it sounds crisp, warm, full-bodied, punchy and literally explodes out of the speakers. I've owned this record before on multiple formats and never, EVER heard it sound like this before. If you're looking for a collector quality copy of this title, you've found it. The vinyl is clean and free of groove damage. It plays solid, quiet, skip-free with no loud pops or annoying crackle splatter. Vinyl Grading is EX. Jacket is VG+, maybe a strong VG if we're going to be real critical, but if someone called it VG+, I would personally be satisfied. On that note, the vinyl could probably pass for NEAR MINT, but I prefer to grade conservatively to ensure your satisfaction. Original inner sleeve is present and in VG+ condition with no seam splits. Matrix numbers are SR-1-6038-RE 1-LW1 and SR-2-6038-LW1. The LW1 indicates an early, first pressing at the Atlantic factory, not farmed out like later copies. You will never find a finer sounding version of this album. Trust me on that one! I'm at the point in my life where I'm listening to jazz and classical more so than punk rock, so I'm going to be selling many of my old records as soon as I find the time to list. This one came from a friend of mine who was an old school Southern California punk rocker who lived in Hollywood most of his live. It is a one-owner lp, purchased by him at Tower Records on Sunset Blvd very soon after it was released. He would buy lps, then tape them immediately, so I doubt this record has seen much play...and it shows. Rest assured that I know and understand the proper way to package a rare lp. The vinyl will be removed from the jacket and placed in an alternate inner sleeve to protect the original cover and sleeve from damage. I ship WORLDWIDE. Thanks for bidding and good luck!
