Description
Blending psychedelic folk, ambient, medieval, classical and world music influences to establish a singular atmosphere, Brendan Perry and Lisa Gerrard have garnered a devoted following for their command of haunting instrumentation and enveloping tones. Dead Can Dance is a genre of spiritual exploration unto itself, and this is the group's part album - part of its most critically acclaimed run of albums. But chances are if you're looking at this auction, you know all about the music. You want to know about the disc.
This is a rare, hard-to-find, out-of-print, hybrid stereo Super Audio disc with a redbook layer that will play on any CD, DVD, Blu-ray player, etc. You can absorb details from the standard resolution version of the audiophile mastering by Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab on any disc transport. However, to get lost in the most immersive stereo separation from the advanced resolution mix you must have SACD-compatible hardware.
Personally purchased from the 4AD store and kept in a smoke-free household, this disc (played twice at most) is completely clean. The mini LP sleeve, booklet and insert (made in Japan) are unmarked. The disc is in its original plastic sheath. The Japanese obi strip is included in the original cellophane wrapper.
If this is the kind of format/band you collect, please check my other auctions, which include DCD's Within the Realm of a Dying Sun and Aion SACDs.
And now, the fine print: Payment is by PayPal, within two days of auction's end. Item will be shipped within two days of the payment clearing. If not satisfied with the included shipping, buyer is responsible for any charges to be determined based on desired carrier/services. If you have specific requests, please do not pay until we work out the exact costs.
Also, my policy is that returns are only accepted if the item doesn't meet the description because it was damaged in transit due to documented packaging negligence. I don't accept a return based on compatibility issues or sonic preference, so please ask any questions about the item prior to auction's end.
I stand by the working quality of what I auction - check my feedback if you have any concerns. And if you need additional images or have any questions, please feel free to ask. Thanks for viewing!
