Dead Kennedys – Frankenchrist - LP - RARE ORIGINAL 1985
Artist H.R Giger’s “Landscape #XX” was included as a poster with this, the DKs third studio album; it is also known as “Penis Landscape”, it is a pretty full on piece. Giger is also an Oscar winner; as part of the team winning the award for Best Achievement for Visual Effects for their work on the film Alien. However, the Dead Kennedys didn’t win any awards for including a poster of the artist’s work with this album; it landed Biafra and Alternative Tentacles in court and nearly made them bankrupt. He faced charges of distributing harmful material to minors; he was never convicted.
This is a 1985 first pressing, in awesome condition throughout. It includes the mentioned poster; it has been displayed resulting in the corners being torn unfortunately. However quite a number of these LPs are missing the poster completely. There is also a newspaper clipping, taken from The Guardian, with the LP about the trial.
