This is the original 1980 Utopia edition that is highly prized and sought after by Dead Kennedy fans.

This version has handcrafted lively and interesting etchings on the matrix fade out -

A really important point for collector's of the original 1980 Utopia edition is the cover of the dimples on the back sleeve. The dimples must be yellow.

Also check the picture of the band, also on the back sleeve, the heads must be on, not off. If the heads are off, it's a later pressing, and not as rare, or collectible.

This copy includes the original Cherry Red Records, Kingston Road, London inner sleeve, which also serves as a complete Cherry Red Catolouge, up to that point.

The sleeve has some wear that is not overbearing. Slight ring wear on the front cover, and a crease on the bottom right hand corner. Also some spine and edge wear. None of this is overbearing. I have now placed record in a clear, heavy duty, protective PVC cover that will ensure no further wear for decades to come.

Vinyl has some very light superficial hairlines that do not affect sound. I have graded this record as EX, however it plays much closer to NEAR MINT, on the audio playback.

My goodness, this is the first time that the world saw the now iconic DK, red and black logo, on the second side of this LP. The paper labels are near flawless.

Keep in mind this is the original 1980 pressing and is now we'll over 40 years old. Fresh fruit was massively repressed in 1981 due to the rave reviews from John Peel etc.

You can probably buy these later repressings for a bit cheaper. Our advice is to treat yourself to the original 1980 edition.

This is a genuine opportunity to buy the real deal.  Don't view this as spending, you are making an investment.

The reputation of The Dead Kennedys is increasing and growing every year, the original 1980 editions of Fresh Fruit, will continue to appreciate every year.

SO, IT'S NICE FOR A CHANGE, TO LIST A STONE COLD CLASSIC, WITHOUT A DOUBT ONE OF THE BEST PUNK ALBUMS OF ALL TIME, FRESH FRUIT FOR ROTTEN VEGETABLES.

EVERY SINGLE SONG IS ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT, EVEN THE SILENCE IN-BETWEEN NOTES, LIKE FOR EXAMPLE IN STEALING PEOPLE'S MAIL, IS EFFECTIVE AND EXCITING.

ONE OF THE BEST MOMENTS IN MY LIFE WAS HEARING THIS RECORD, AND IN MY OPINION IT'S ONE OF THE BEST ALBUMS OF ALL TIME, PERIOD, NOT JUST IN HARDCORE PUNK  CIRCLES.

IF YOU HAVE NEVER HEARD THIS, THEN MY GOODNESS, YOU ARE IN FOR A TREAT. IF YOU ARE ALREADY A DEAD KENNEDYS FAN, MAYBE YOU ARE REPLACING YOUR WORN OUT CD, THEN I THINK YOU WILL LOVE THIS VINYL EDITION WITH THE ICONIC DK RED AND BLACK PAPER LABELS.
