Description
Original 1940s-1950s USSR X-RAY roentgen film "roentgenizdat" record with ribs image.
Record is made of film attached to cardboard base to make it more rigid.
78 rpm, 9 inch
Recorder track is "I Love To Whistle" performed by Deanna Durbin.
Record is in VG codition.
Record plays fine and it has no any defects, just normal age wear.
Records like this were popular underground source for songs of prohibited but extremely popular russian performers like Lescheko or Vertinsky, underground criminal folklore songs, foreign jazz & pop music and later rock'n'roll in Soviet Union. Though 99% of roentgen film records belong to late 1940s- very early1960s, the whole timespan includes period from late 1930s until early 1970s.
It was dangerous business, people get prisoned for manufacturing of them!
