Description


"The Death of Emmett Till" by the Ramparts (actually a solo by Scatman Crothers) - The lynching of black teenager Emmett Till for whistling at a white woman in 1955 was one of the key instigators of the civil rights movement in the 1950s. This was recorded shortly after the event and issued on Dootone 382. The 78 is harder to find than the 45 and is rarely seen today. Condition of this 78 is E- with just some light scuffs an rub marks and few very light scratches. Plays quietly. The record inspired Bob Dylan's own recording about the event in 1962.   Domestic shipping is $5.00 ($1.00 will be added because eBay has no clue how much it costs to properly pack and ship a 78).
