Description

Ravel Mother Goose Suite, Debussy Nocturnes

Ansermet L’Ochestre De La Suisse Romande

Decca Wide Band Grooved ED1 SXL2062

Record Visual inspection

Excellent – there is a very light (and I mean very light) mark on the vinyl on side 1, and there are a couple of marks around the spindle hole on side 2. Side 1 Matrix reads ZAL-3811-2E, side 2 matrix reads ZAL-3812-1E

Record Play testing

On the whole this played very well indeed – nice and quiet with excellent dynamics but-

The prelude to Mother Goose suite has a little bit of light surface noise (not bad at all but just not the silence of the rest of the record )

There were a couple of light pops on both sides

Sleeve

This is the monochrome scalloped sleeve. Front of the record is excellent. There is a very light rub mark and the beginning of a very small tear on the bottom edge.

The rear of the sleeve has two problems. A small label on the top right has been removed taking a little bit of the laminate with it.

The bottom left hand scallop has torn and there is a chunk missing from the scallop. This is also the cause of the small tear beginning to appear on the front.

Spine is free of scuffs.

Please note I try and be as critical as possible when describing records.  However there are still a subjective judgement and I can only report how they appear to my eyes and how they sound on my system (Nottingham analogue space deck, space arm, grado sonata cartridge and Graham Slee SE2 phono amp) which may well be different to yours.

Needless to say this will be carefully packaged and sent recorded delivery.

Please note I do not ship outside europe without prior arrangement and I never ship to South America or Asia.
