Description

Decca Records stereo five disc boxed set SET 242-6, First grooved ED1 wideband label discs have "Original Recording By..." at upper left, made in England.  Stampers are 4E 5E 5E 5E 3E 3E 4E 5E 4E 4E.  Includes the full sized complete libretto.  

Wagner, Siegfried, complete opera, with Birgit Nilsson, Wolfgang Windgassen, and Hans Hotter.  Georg Solti conducts the Vienna Philharmonic.  See pics for complete cast.

Produced by John Culshaw, this was the second release in his epic recording of the complete Ring Cycle, first issued in 1963.  Please see my other listings for first pressings of the other three operas, all in beautiful condition.
