Description
Decca Records stereo six disc boxed set SET 292-7, grooved ED2 wideband label discs have "Made in England By..." at upper left, made in England. Stampers are 4W 4W 3W 5G 4W 4W 3W 3W 3W 3W4W 4W. Includes the full sized complete libretto. This is the earliest label for this set, which was issued in 1965. This set is rather difficult to find in the earliest pressing.
Wagner, Götterdämmerung, complete opera, with Birgit Nilsson, Wolfgang Windgassen, Gottlob Frick, and Christa Ludwig. Georg Solti conducts the Vienna Philharmonic. See pics for complete cast.
Produced by John Culshaw, this was the third release in his historic recording of the complete Ring Cycle, issued in 1965. Please see my other listings for first pressings of the other three operas, all in beautiful condition.
Discs NM, box VG+, small split in the middle of the top seam of the box bottom.
