Description
Decca Records stereo five disc boxed set SET 312-6, grooved ED2 wideband label discs have "Made in England By..." at upper left, made in England. Stampers are 5G 4G 4G 2G 5G 2G 7G 5G 3G 1G. Includes the full sized complete libretto. This is the earliest label for this set, which was issued in 1966.
Wagner, Die Walküre, complete opera, with Birgit Nilsson, Hans Hotter, Regina Crespin, James King, and Christa Ludwig. Georg Solti conducts the Vienna Philharmonic. See pics for complete cast.
Produced by John Culshaw, this was the last release in his historic recording of the complete Ring Cycle, issued in 1966. Please see my other listings for first pressings of the other three operas, all in beautiful condition.
Discs NM, box VG, some wear around the edges and 1 broken corner.
