Berlioz Symphonie Fantastique Ataulfo Argenta Paris Conservetoire Orchestra Decca SXL 2009 Cover VG Vinyl VG This an original wide band deep groove ed1 1958 issue
There is a mark across the first band on side 2 which produces some light but audible ticks for 90 seconds at the beginning and 90 seconds at the end of the first band and for 60 seconds at the beginning of the second band. Otherwise the record plays well with a clear dynamic sound typical of these Decca recordings and no distortion in the loud passages, with some light surface noise in occasional quiet passages. the labels are excellent with minimal spindle wear. The record is quite flat with minimal edge distortion.
The cover has some laminate peeled off the front and chips along the edges, there is some small damage to the top right hand corner at the back. The inner sleeve is the original and has a tear across the top open edge, see photographs.
