Description
Hello and thanks for looking. For auction is the 1958 Decca LP SXL 2012 Grieg's Peer Gynt (incidental music to Ibsen's play). Oivin Fjelstad conducting the London Symphony Orchestra. Wide band/groove label (1st label).
Side 1: Prelude (Op23, No.1)/Morning mood (Op 23, No.13)/The death of Ase (Op 23, No.12)/Anitra's dance (Op 23, No.16)/In the hall of the Mountain King (Op 23, No.7).
Side 2: Ingrid's abduction and lament (Op 23, No.4)/Arab dance (Op 23, No.15)/Peer Gynt's home-coming (Op 23, No.19)/Solvejg's song (Op 23, No.11)/Dance of the Mountain King's daughter (Op 23, No.8).
Condition: Sleeve = VG. A little rubbing and ring wear. Some creasing to laminate on front. Tiny split to centre of open edge back. Generally clean and bright.
Vinyl, Side 1: Ex. 1 inaudible hairline mark across band 2. Side 2: Ex. A few extremely light, inaudible hairline marks.
