Description
1958 UK stereo pressing on Decca records of SXL 2045 Schumann Great C Major Symphony played by London Symphony Orchestra conducted by Josef Krips. Label is grooved wide band. The label has “Original Recording by” at 10 O’clock. Sleeve is a flip back sleeve. The matrix numbers engraved on the run-out are ZAL-4093-1E and ZAL-4094-1E.
Grading
The condition of sleeve is Excellent, very slight wear on opening. Inner sleeve is excellent. Visually grade the record as Excellent
Side 1 - few faint marks and light scratches that show up under strong light
Side 2 - few faint marks and light scratches that show up under strong light
There are some faint spider marks around the spindle hole on both sides.
It plays on my Linn Sondek virtually perfectly, no skips, jumps - side 1 is crackly in places, particularly at the start. Side 2 is much better.
Note that record will be posted in a cardboard record mailer. Sleeve will be in a plastic sleeve, separate from the record and inner sleeve. Record and inner sleeve will be in a card sleeve.
