Description
This is another sale from my collection of classical records, which includes early stereo rarities on Decca, Columbia, HMV and RCA.
1959 UK stereo pressing on Decca records of SXL 2135 Mozart Symphony No. 32 and Symphony No. 35 “Prague” played by the London Symphony Orchestra conducted by Peter Maag. Label is grooved wide band. The label has “Original Recording by” at 10 O’clock. The matrix numbers engraved on the run-out are ZAL-4405-1E and ZAL-4405-1E. The date code on the back cover in the bottom left hand corner is A.W. 59.5.
Grading
The condition of sleeve is Good, wear to the corners and a tear on the opening. Visually grade side 1 of the record as VG, side 2 as VG+. There are faint marks and scratches on both sides. The labels show spindle marks also.
It plays well on my Linn Sondek, no skips, jumps - crackle in places so I would audio grade as VG+.
Note that record will be posted in a cardboard record mailer. Sleeve will be in a plastic sleeve, separate from the record and inner sleeve. Record and inner sleeve will be in a card sleeve.
